1. Who We Are

Farset ("we", "us", "our") operates the Farset booking and scheduling platform available at farset.app and via our mobile applications. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Farset platform, including all features, content, and services we offer.

By accessing or using Farset, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use Farset as a business owner. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

If you are using Farset on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. The Farset Platform

Farset provides salon and beauty business owners with tools including:

  • Online booking and appointment scheduling
  • Client management (CRM)
  • Staff scheduling and availability management
  • Payment processing via Stripe
  • Marketing and retention tools (email campaigns, rebook reminders)
  • Website and public booking page customisation
  • Reports and business analytics
  • Consultation forms and client intake

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the platform at any time with reasonable notice where practicable. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of services.

4. Accounts and Registration

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account at support@farset.app
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same business without prior written consent
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

5. Subscription Plans and Billing

Farset operates on a flat-fee subscription model. We do not charge commissions on bookings.

  • Free plan: Limited to a monthly booking threshold. No payment card required.
  • Pro/Enterprise plans: Billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Pricing is displayed on our Pricing page.
  • Payment: All subscription fees are billed in advance. Failure to pay may result in downgrade or suspension.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by law.
  • Price changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
  • VAT/taxes: Prices may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your location.

6. Payments and Stripe Connect

If you accept client payments through Farset, payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). By enabling payments, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Stripe Connect Agreement.

Farset is not responsible for payment failures, disputes, chargebacks, or Stripe-imposed account restrictions. You are solely responsible for any disputes with your clients regarding bookings, services or refunds.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Farset to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party
  • Transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or deceptive content
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code
  • Scrape, crawl or extract data from the platform without written permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, account or data
  • Use the platform to facilitate illegal services or transactions
  • Resell or sublicense access to Farset without our written consent
  • Impersonate Farset or any other person or entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we reasonably believe you are in breach of this section.

8. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content and data you upload to Farset (including business information, client records, and booking data). By using the platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display your content solely to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of client data (including names, email addresses and booking history) complies with applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR. You act as a data controller for your clients' data; Farset acts as a data processor on your behalf.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Farset platform — including its software, design, branding, logos, and content — are owned by or licensed to Farset. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the platform, or reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the software.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using Farset, you consent to the data practices described therein.

Where Farset processes personal data on your behalf (e.g. your clients' booking data), we act as a data processor. Our data processing obligations are set out in our Privacy Policy and, where required, a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) available on request.

11. Disclaimers

The Farset platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information provided through the platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Farset and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to Farset in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Farset and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights; or (d) your content or data uploaded to the platform.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

Farset may contain links to third-party websites or services (including Stripe, Google, and others). We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Links do not constitute endorsement. Use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.

15. Termination

Either party may terminate the relationship governed by these Terms at any time. You may close your account via the platform settings or by contacting us at support@farset.app.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Farset after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform.

If you are a consumer resident in Northern Ireland, Scotland, or another jurisdiction, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
