Setting Up Push Notifications

Push notifications let you get an instant alert on your phone or browser whenever a new booking is made.

Enabling Push Notifications

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Look for the Push Notifications section (usually shown as a banner or in Settings)
  3. Click Enable Notifications
  4. Your browser will ask for permission — click Allow

On Mobile (Android)

  1. Open your Farset dashboard in Chrome on Android
  2. When prompted, tap Add to Home Screen to install as a PWA
  3. Open the installed app from your home screen
  4. Go to Settings and enable notifications when prompted
  5. You'll now receive push notifications even when the app is closed

On Mobile (iOS — iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open farset.app in Safari on your iPhone
  2. Tap the Share button (box with an arrow)
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen
  4. Open the app from your home screen
  5. Enable notifications when prompted
Note:
iOS push notifications require iOS 16.4+ and the site to be added to your home screen.

Troubleshooting Push Notifications

Not receiving notifications after enabling?

  • Check your device/browser notification settings haven't blocked Farset
  • On Android: Settings > Apps > Chrome > Notifications > make sure they're allowed
  • On iOS: Settings > Safari > check Push Notifications is allowed
  • Try disabling and re-enabling notifications in Farset

Notifications working on desktop but not mobile?

  • Make sure you're accessing Farset from the installed home screen icon, not the browser
  • Re-add to home screen if notifications stop working after an iOS update
