My Salon Shows as Closed — How to Fix It
If your booking page shows "Closed" when you should be open, here's how to diagnose and fix it.
Understanding the Open/Closed Status
Farset calculates whether you're "open now" by:
- Checking today's day of the week
- Looking at your availability schedule for that day
- Comparing the current time (in your timezone) against your set hours
Most Common Causes
1. Timezone is set incorrectly If your timezone is wrong by several hours, Farset may think it's outside your working hours when it isn't.
Fix: Go to Availability > Edit Schedule and verify your timezone.
2. Today's hours not set If today (e.g. Saturday) has no hours configured, the salon shows as closed all day.
Fix: Go to Availability and add hours for today's day.
3. Date override marking today as unavailable A date override may be marking today as closed.
Fix: Go to Availability > Date Overrides and check if today's date appears. If it shows as unavailable, delete or edit that override.
4. It's genuinely outside your hours Check what your hours are for today. If it's 9pm and you close at 6pm, the "Closed" display is correct.
Verifying the Fix
- After making changes, refresh your public booking page
- The status should update within a few seconds
- Check the opening hours section on your booking page to confirm today shows the correct hours
Clients Reporting Wrong Open/Closed Status?
If clients in a different location see incorrect status, it's almost always a timezone issue. Make sure your timezone is set to your salon's local timezone, not the client's location.
